- Windsor offers paid curbside bulk-furniture collection by booking; eligible residents can book up to two items for one of the scheduled collection dates in their zone. Self-haul is also available.

- Do not assume every large object is eligible beside regular garbage. Check Windsor's current collection calendar and Waste Wizard; if the item is not listed for curbside, use the Depot or private removal.

- The Public Drop-Off Depot on North Service Road East is the main City reference point; verify its hours, identification rules and charges before arrival.

How to dispose of common items in Windsor
Mattress and box-spring disposal
Mattresses are bulky and may require a drop-off or special route. Confirm the current Depot fee and preparation before transporting a mattress or box spring.
Couches and large furniture
Unusable furniture is accepted through the appropriate municipal disposal stream. Reusable pieces should only be taken to a charity or reuse outlet after acceptance is confirmed.
Fridges, freezers and appliances
Metal appliances, refrigerant units and electronics are separate from furniture. Check whether the retailer, Depot or product-recycling program is the correct destination.
Drywall and renovation debris
Drywall, lumber, flooring, concrete and roofing require a construction-waste route. Separate materials and confirm the Depot's current residential limits and fees.
Does your property type change the answer?
Apartments and condos may use private collection. The building manager should approve any staging area and arrange service for shared-bin properties.
