How to dispose of common items in Mascouche
Mattress and box-spring disposal
Mattresses are accepted as bulky items. If bedbugs are present, Mascouche requires the mattress to be bagged in a protective mattress bag.
Couches and large furniture
Furniture is accepted within the monthly item/weight/volume limits. Items with glass are excluded, so check the exact piece before set-out.
Fridges, freezers and appliances
Non-refrigerant appliances can be accepted as bulky items; refrigerant appliances use the GoRecycle door-pickup/recycling route rather than the bulky collection.
Drywall and renovation debris
Construction and renovation debris is excluded from curbside bulky collection. The City’s disposal facility information lists CRD material as a drop-off category.
Does your property type change the answer?
The City’s collection information distinguishes normal roll-cart properties from properties served by semi-buried containers, so multi-unit residents should confirm their building arrangement.
Mascouche: the monthly limits are unusually specific
Choose the route before loading
Count and weigh the load before set-out: the program caps both the number of objects and the combined volume/weight.
Keep mixed cleanouts separated
Keep refrigerant appliances and renovation debris out of the bulky pile; both have their own disposal systems.
