How to dispose of common items in Rouyn-Noranda
Mattresses, couches and household furniture
The city’s bulky pickup can handle eligible large household items, while the ecocentre accepts furniture, mattresses and box springs, rugs and flooring, pianos, long items and bathroom fixtures. Book the curbside service through the city and keep excluded material out of the pile.
Appliances, electronics, paint, propane and other special items
The ecocentre separates appliances, household hazardous waste, electronics and other recoverable streams. Curbside bulky pickup does not accept hazardous products, and special materials should go to the ecocentre route.
Renovation, construction and yard debris
Construction and demolition material is not part of the curbside bulky service. The ecocentre accepts certain project materials; some construction categories are charged by weight, so separate the load before weighing in.
