How to dispose of common items in West Kelowna

Mattresses, couches and household furniture

Furniture is included in the station’s residential garbage category, so a couch or similar bulky item can be brought in under the load-size pricing. Mattresses are separated and charged per unit.

Appliances, electronics, paint, propane and other special items

Large appliances, metal, batteries and propane tanks are listed as free at Asquith. The site is residential only and does not accept commercial traffic.

Renovation, construction and yard debris

Clean wood is accepted for a separate low fee, but drywall, concrete, asphalt, bricks, dirt, sod and rocks are not accepted at Asquith. Take those materials to Glenmore Landfill or another approved facility.
