How to dispose of common items in Leduc County
Mattresses, couches and household furniture
Household waste routes are available at county stations, but very large loads should be taken to the Leduc and District Regional Waste Management Facility. Keep bulky furniture separated if the local station has item-specific directions.
Appliances, electronics, paint, propane and other special items
New Sarepta and Sunnybrook accept additional streams such as electronics, household hazardous material, appliances, metal and tires. Propane, oil and paint belong in the designated hazardous/special areas rather than in household garbage.
Renovation, construction and yard debris
Construction and oversized loads can exceed the transfer-station limit. For a large renovation cleanout, use the regional waste-management facility; county residents have a published annual tonnage allowance under that program.
