How to dispose of common items in Pointe-Claire
Mattresses, couches and household furniture
Regular bulky collection handles eligible household furniture, but mattresses, box springs and futons use separate scheduled pickups. For those bedding items, the city publishes sector-specific dates rather than treating them as ordinary bulky waste.
Appliances, electronics, paint, propane and other special items
Refrigerant appliances, electronics and several other special materials are excluded from normal bulky pickup. The local ecocentre events accept appliances, electronics, tires and other designated materials; household hazardous waste is directed to Montréal ecocentres.
Renovation, construction and yard debris
Construction and demolition debris is not part of the regular bulky route. The city’s ecocentre events accept designated renovation materials, while year-round alternatives include Montréal ecocentres such as Saint-Laurent and LaSalle.
