How to dispose of common items in Timmins
Mattresses, couches and household furniture
The spring bulk program is intended for oversized residential waste that cannot go through regular collection. Outside the program dates, furniture and mattresses should be self-hauled to a municipal landfill or handled through another approved service.
Appliances, electronics, paint, propane and other special items
Refrigerant appliances have a separate 2026 per-unit charge at Deloro. Tires, clean fill and leaf/yard waste have no-charge landfill categories under the current fee schedule.
Renovation, construction and yard debris
Construction and contaminated/special material use different landfill rates. Asbestos-containing material has its own 2026 flat fee plus per-tonne charge and requires proper disposal procedures; do not mix it with ordinary household junk.
