How to dispose of common items in South Glengarry
Mattresses, couches and household furniture
Furniture and mixed household cleanout loads can be taken to the landfill under the township’s vehicle/load fee schedule. Bring the resident pass/proof needed to use the free-entry allowance.
Appliances, electronics, paint, propane and other special items
Keep appliances separated. Standard large appliances have a different rate from refrigerant units, and electronics/other diversion streams should follow the township’s accepted-material rules.
Renovation, construction and yard debris
Residential construction loads are charged separately from normal household waste. Sort wood, shingles and other project material before arriving to avoid having the entire load treated as mixed waste.
