How to dispose of common items in Sylvan Lake

Mattresses, couches and household furniture

The large-item program accepts common household bulky goods such as bed frames, mattresses, couches, chairs, patio furniture and exercise equipment. Place registered items at the front street by 8 a.m. on the scheduled date.

Appliances, electronics, paint, propane and other special items

The pickup program can accept selected refrigerant appliances such as fridges/freezers, while other special waste streams must follow the transfer-site rules. Keep hazardous products and electronics separate from a bulky pile.

Renovation, construction and yard debris

Construction and demolition debris is not accepted through the large-item pickup. Use the transfer/disposal system for renovation waste and confirm the material is accepted before arrival.
