Extra garbage and oversized items

After sorting recycling and organics, extra 77-L garbage bags can use a District garbage tag. The current District price is $6 per extra bag tag. Oversized items, construction material, electronics, paint, tires and other listed special materials are not accepted as ordinary curbside garbage.

For furniture, mattresses, large appliances and other large items, check the item-specific drop-off route before hauling. Metro Vancouver's North Shore Recycling and Waste Centre is one regional option for large loads and certain materials.
